Reclaimed, salvaged or refurbished cedar wood round table

It's difficult to give away an old swing set, even with the help of "free on craigslist". The list is pretty narrow and when a friend couldn't find any takers for his set I decided to make some use of the wood for a table.

After removing all of the nails, screws, bolts and hardware I planed down the wood to breathe some new life into the cedar. It revealed some beautiful cracks and checks that made their way into the design.

Checking the layout for the fittings and angles

The table top and base come apart for ease of transporting. Checking the layout here as the reclaimed cedar x-mas tree overlooks the process.

5' diameter reclaimed solid cedar wood table with stainless steel and galvanized fasteners. All I need now is a place to sit and enjoy it!
