the STRONGHOLD

The STRONGHOLD hanging light is made from upcycled cardboard tubes and cast resin at the base.

A part of the process was forming the tubes around a jig and template.

Casting the resin around the cardboard created some dark saturation on the tubes. I was hoping when it dried it wouldn't be so apparent.

It didn't...but it gives a wet, glossy and active feel to the connection that I like.

Here are some additional details of the cast ring and underside. I love the silhouette of the cut tubes coming through!
